HOW TO… Install Your Own Spoiler

Tools Required 1/4” x 20 x 3/4” screws 1/8” drill bit #8 x ½” stainless steel screws (only if required) 5/16” drill bit ¼” flat washers 5/8” holesaw (if required) Mastic washers Drill motor Plastic T-strips Phillips screw driver Brake light (only if required) Screw gun Foam Gaskets Center punch Grease pencil Primer/touch-up paint Electrical tape Masking tape Measuring tape Panel puller

STEP ONE ü Always fit the spoiler on the vehicle before prepping or painting

STEP ONE ü Always fit the spoiler on the vehicle before prepping or painting to make sure it fits. ü Open deck lid and cover the carpet with a drop cloth so the hot metal shavings will not burn into the carpet. ü Remove any trim panels with a panel puller or screw driver. ü Partially close the deck lid.

STEP TWO ü Place the T-strips into mounting holes and the brake light wire

STEP TWO ü Place the T-strips into mounting holes and the brake light wire hole. (NOTE: only drill a brake light wire hole if your spoiler is equipped with a led light. ) ü Use a small piece of masking tape to hold them into place.

STEP THREE ü Place spoiler on deck lid and align to proper position. Check

STEP THREE ü Place spoiler on deck lid and align to proper position. Check for proper alignment using a tape measure side to side and front to back.

STEP FOUR üUsing masking tape, secure the t-strips to the deck lid. ü Carefully

STEP FOUR üUsing masking tape, secure the t-strips to the deck lid. ü Carefully lift spoiler straight up off t-strips, leaving them on the deck lid.

STEP FIVE FIGURE ONE FIGURE TWO ü Using the 1/8” drill bit, slide it

STEP FIVE FIGURE ONE FIGURE TWO ü Using the 1/8” drill bit, slide it through the small hole on the t-strip stem. ü Mark the painted deck lid surface to locate the center of the holes to be drilled (FIGURE ONE). ü Remove the t-strips from the deck lid and, using a unibit, drill through the 1/8” holes (FIGURE TWO). ü Coat all bare metal with a rust preventative material and allow to dry.

STEP SIX ü Place spoiler upside down and apply the two foam gaskets over

STEP SIX ü Place spoiler upside down and apply the two foam gaskets over the holes on each side. ü If your spoiler is equipped with led brake light, feed the brake light wire through the hole that was drilled for the brake light in the deck lid.

STEP SEVEN ü Place the spoiler on the deck lid and secure it with
