How to enable Guided Access:
Tap the “Options” button in the bottom-left corner of the Guided Access screen that appears and enable the “Time Limit” option. You can set any time limit you want in increments of one minute, from one minute to 23 hours and 59 minutes. Tap “Done” and tap the “Start” option at the top-right corner of the screen to put the device into Guided Access mode and apply your time limit.
Your i. Phone or i. Pad will be locked to the specific application you chose. When the time limit expires, the i. Phone or i. Pad will lock itself until you enter the PIN you provided earlier. To leave Guided Access at any time–including before the time limit ends –just press the “Home” button three times in a row and enter your PIN. If you’ve enabled Touch ID, you can also just press the “Home” button once and leave your finger on the sensor. Tap “End” at the top-left corner of the screen if the Guided Access screen appears. Guided Access will be disabled.
Play Time Setting Options can be set so notifications can be sent to the child during gameplay so that he or she knows when they should save and quit. Alternatively, Family Managers can set the PS 4™ to automatically log out child family members once playtime is over. Play Time restrictions for offline child profiles will only apply to the PS 4™ system where they were set. Play Time restrictions for online Sony Accounts for children will instead apply to the child family member no matter which PS 4™ system they log into.
How to Set Play Time for Child Accounts on the PS 4™ 1. First, log in as the Family Manager or parent/guardian account of the Child Account that you wish to set Play Time for. 2. From the home screen, go to Settings > Parental Controls/Family Management. 3. Select a child member of your family listed under Applicable Users on This PS 4. You may be prompted to Enter Sign-In Information before continuing. 4. Select Time Zone and choose a global time zone for the Child Account. 5. Select Play Time Settings > Play Time Restrictions > select Restrict. 6. Now you can set or change daily and weekly play time for this Child Account. Select Save to apply Play Time settings or changes.
