Muses- Daughters of Zeus Six beautiful daughters of Zeus are called Muses. They are known as “source of inspiration”. The word of museum derives from those source of inspirations, which means that the more museums we have the more source of inspiration we have.
What is a museum? Museum is a building in which objects of historical, scientific, artistic, or cultural interest are stored and exhibited. (Oxford Online Dictionary)
What is a modern museum? Modern museums do not simply store or exhibit the objects and wait for the visitors. They bring those items to people by means of modern technology.
�Main aim in modern museums is education and education goes on with the help of these museums even out of the school. �Modern museums have libraries, meeting halls, research centers, laboratories as a cultural unit.

Cyber Museums �They are the best examples of the modern museums. They attract the visitors using the technology so that the visitors all around the world can reach the museums with only a click. �The New York Metropolitan Museum and The London British Museum are of good examples.
Touchable Museums �Touchable museums are one of the best examples of modern museums. �“Philadelphia Please Touch” museum is an example for this kind of museums.

Foundation Museums This kind of museums is the basic way of modern museums. The best example is the Smithsonian Institute.
Smithsonian Institute �It was founded by Smithson Family and has reached almost 25000 audiences every year with 19 museums, research centers, library and television. Mobile Museums This kind of museums brings the museum to the audinces with the help of big trucks or just with technology. Here is an example from Türkiye:
Çanakkale Seddülbahir Savaş Müzesi
This museum is a product of “From Çanakkale to Anatolia” project.
It travels around Türkiye and exhibits the stuffs from Çanakkale War in 1915.

İstanbul Toy Museum
�The museum was opened on April 23 rd, 2005. The galleries host more than 4000 toys collected from antique dealers from all over the world. �It is the first museum founded by a poet, Sunay Akın and designed by a professional stage designer, Ayhan Doğan.
İstanbul Modern �The İstanbul Museum of Modern Art, Turkey’s first private museum to organize modern and contemporary art exhibitions, was founded in 2004.

II. Beyazid Külliyesi (Health Museum) �This museum got the European Museum Award in 2004. �The concept is about History of Medicine and Ontology in Ottoman Empire.
The museum exhibits models of doctors who treat their patients mostly with music.
The athmosphere in the museum is created the same as the original with the help of models, original costumes and music.
