How To Care For Your Library Books By: Chalice Tillis LEM 508
I LOVE BOOKS!!!! What about You? Let me tell you about how you can take care of the books you borrow from the library.
Books take special care to keep them in good condition. We want to be able to use them for a long time. There a few things we must always remember when using books.
If you want to be able to borrow books from the library you have to remember to never write in books.
You must also remember not to take your book outside and leave it. Moisture can cause the book to warp and mildew. Then no one will be able to enjoy the book.
Babies are so cute and cuddly. But they do not know how to take proper care of books. Please keep books away from younger siblings and babies.
Please keep Fido or Tom away from your books. Pets think books are just something to play with and chew on. Remember pets can’t read.
Always remember to use a book mark to save your place!!!!! Never dog-ear or bend the pages of a book.
n When you are eating make sure your book is not close to your food. You can get food on the book. This will damage and smear the pages.
Be sure to always avoid having your book near water or any liquids. This can cause the book to mold and mildew. It will also cause the pages to tear and come apart.
n If you accidentally tear a page keep the torn part of the book and give it to the librarian to fix. Hopefully she will be able to fix the book and you will be able to continue enjoying reading it.
Happy Reading! Now you know all about how to take care of your library books. You are ready to check out books. Please take good care of your library books.
