Location and population! • They were located through South eastern Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, and el Salvador. • The population is about 8 -10 million.
How they adapted to their environment • They adapted by having to change what they eat. They had to adapt by having to find stuff to build irrigation canals to get water for their crops. They had to change how they made their homes and find stuff to make it out of in the forest. They had find stuff to make tools and hunting stuff to make things and also so they could kill animals.
What they relied on! • They relied on their environment for animals and trees and materials for cloths, houses, and food. • They would also rely on the sun and moon so they would know when a good day was to harvest before it rained.
The most important thing in their religion. • The most important thing was dancing they had over 5, 000 different dances. • They also relied on their environment for turtles for a instrument they would use their shells for music. • Also a game called the ball game it was a very popular sport.
Farming and crops. • The Mayans would grow lots of different crops. The most crop they would grow was corn because it was easy and fast to grow. For their crops they would build irrigation canals for them to bring water from the swamps to help grow their crops.
Growing up! • When they were 4 -5 they would start to learn how to work and farm. • When a boy was 14 the father would find the boy a bride. They would end up getting married about a year after. Boy-15 Girl-14
