How Oceans were formed. .
Pangaea �When the earth was formed all continents were 1 single large land mass called Pangaea. Each Continent sits on what we call a Plate. �Tectonic plates are large masses of rock that continually moves and shifts. When they shift earthquakes occur. New Mountains are forms and volcano eruptions happen creating new land. �Tectonic plates move at a speed of 1 -10 centimeters per year. �The pacific ocean is getting smaller but the other oceans are growing larger.
