Preparation: This resource requires 8 questions, each with up to 4 possible correct answers. Enter the questions and possible answers into the table on slide 3. Ensure that any correct answers are put in the left hand columns first. So, if there is one correct answer place this in column titled ‘ 1’, if there are two correct answers place these in columns titled ‘ 1’ and ‘ 2’, etc. Ensure that the number of correct answers (from zero to 4) is included in the ‘No. ’ column. Each student (or small team) will also need a set of ‘lollipop’ cards to show what they think is the correct answer(s). Print and cut out a set of lollipop cards for each team using the templates on slide 4. Running the game: Start the slideshow from slide 1 and explain the purpose of the activity. The students will be shown a question with up to four possible correct answers. Remind students that it is possible that none of the answers are correct. Explain that as the question is asked, they must choose which lollipops they wish to show to illustrate which answer(s) they think is correct. If they think that there are no correct answers they will show no lollipops. When ready click on ‘Click to start’. The first question and the four possible answers will show on the screen. Allow students the necessary time to read the question and answers and discuss the outcome. When ready ask each student/team to show their answers by holding aloft their lollipops. Discuss the possible outcomes and any differences. Click on ‘Click to reveal’ to reveal the answer(s). Discuss any outcomes that are surprising to students. Click on ‘Next question’ to move on to the next question. Repeat this until all questions (up to 8) are asked.
