How and why did the power of the British Monarchy change between 1066 and 1700? Now you must come up with your own hypothesis (theory) of how the power of the monarchy changed during this time. Did the monarch become more or less powerful? How? Why? How will you find out if your hypothesis (explanation) is correct? What will you need to find out? Where will you need to look to find information? Write up what you find out through your class work and homework. There will be sections in your booklet for homework each week. Try and compare what you discover with your original hypothesis or theory. Does the information support your theory? This is your conclusion: How much evidence was there that supported your hypothesis? What information did you find? GIVE EXACT DETAIL TO SUPPORT YOUR ANSWER. What evidence did you find that did NOT prove your theory? Did the majority of the evidence support or contradict your hypothesis?
