Some people’s skulls are a different shape to the rest of us. Psychological explanation: PMT: Stress can make women act irrationally. 80% of female crime occurs during the period of menstruation. Maternal deprivation: Children who has lost out on a mother, lack of love and emotoinal security can lead people to develop criminal personalities as they seek attention and affection from elsewhere.

Arguments for made Socialisation: Some young people may have had criminal role models in the family. Peer pressure: To feel accepted into a certain group of people, some people may commit crime or act with deviance. Deprivation: Growing up in a poor community and wanting what most people in society have. This could lead to people stealing things like mobile phones, laptops etc. Labelling: If someone has been labelled as a criminal and this sticks to them, this can lead to the person believing the label and take this role on full heartedly.
