The Purpose of Computers n The main propose for computers when it has first thought of is to solve problems and to make every day life easier.

One of the First Computers n In the year 1837, Charles Babbage thought of making what would be called today a computer. He called it "The Analytical Engine" but Babbage could never actually built his Analytical Engine.

Old Computers n As you can see computers today look nothing like computer from 30 to 100 years ago.

What is a Computer? n A computer isn’t just to extend our thinking, earn revenue for their vendors, solve problems caused by computers or to just have fun! There all different kinds of computers like did you know that a calculator is a computer and so is all kinds of things that you wouldn’t think to be a computer.

Computers Today n Computers today 10 times more compact, more advanced and can hold more information than ever.

Laptops n The laptop computer was invented by Adam Osborne in 1981. It was called the "Osborne 1" and cost $1795. It came bundled with $1500 worth of programs. It had a tiny computer screen built into it. Laptops today are every compact and sleek.

Lab tops n Lab tops are a very easy and compacted to work on thing that need to be done fast and now.

Use of Computers Today. n You probably use a computer every day and not know it like i-pod’s, mp 3’s, and a even the radio in you car is a computer so for most people every day depends on computer.

Games n In case you didn’t know this game stations are computers like Xbox, X-box 360, PS 1, 2, and 3, and Wii.
