Building Inclusive Communities for All Gender Identities in Oregon Learning objectives: 1. Participants will be able to identify gender identity theory, and how that can impact a student’s success in college. 2. Participants will be able to identify 1 -2 ways to implement changes in their own housing application process to serve multiple gender identities. 3. Participants will be able to identify opportunities within existing assignments programs to implement gender inclusive processes.

Serving Transgender Students Dear Colleague letter- May 13, 2016 ● Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX) prohibit sex discrimination in educational programs and activities operated by recipients of Federal financial assistance. ● This prohibition encompasses discrimination based on a student’s gender identity Senate Bill 473 - June 17, 2015 ● Requires each public university to allow students, faculty and staff to identity sexual orientation on forms used to collect demographic information
