DEFINITION OF A BIOME A biome is a large community of plants and animals that occupies a distinct region.
DEFINITION OF AN ECOSYSTEM An ecosystem is a biological community of interacting organisms and their physical environment. Two horse ecosystem examples: Mongolia and North America
WHERE DO HORSES LIVE? They live in a variety of places but here are two examples, Mongolia and North America. Look at the highlighted areas to see where horses live.
POLAR BEAR AND HORSE • The polar bear is much different than the horse for example the polar lives in an ecosystem thats cold, white, and a very faint blue. They also have huge winter coats and horses have thin coats. Horses have manes and a long tail depending on if they have an owner that cut their tail.
ABIOTIC SOURCES Non living • This amazing creature wouldn't be here if it wasn't for water which is abiotic. Abiotic means something that is non living.
BIOTIC SOURCES Living sources • The horse also wouldn't be here if it wasn't for living things like food for example shrubs, leaves, and grass. Biotic means something that is living.
HORSE AND OTHERS How does the horse depend on other animals? The horse depends on its herd of horses to protect him/her, or when a foal is being chased by predators, but the mom/dad protects the foal.
