Multiples of 4 end with either a 2, 4, 6, 8 or 0 This means that multiples of 4 are even numbers. Next, use a different colour and underline the multiples of 2. What do you notice?

Multiples of 2 and 4 are even numbers. Multiples of 4 are also multiples of 2. Each multiple of 4 is every other multiple of 2. So, if you know your 2 x table you know your 4 x table too.
