What key words do you need to include? • What could the animals be doing? • Use adverbs to describe the verbs.

English Can you describe the picture? The noun is an object, name or place. What nouns could you use with this picture. Use Adjectives to describe. Verbs are doing words, what could the animals be doing? Extension - Can you make some expanded noun phrases?

Last week, we gave you something to think about: What ideas did you come up with? • Everyday maths – when we go shopping, planning events, following recipes, measuring, telling the time, problem solving and many, many more.

Looking for patterns. You will need the number grid and 4 coloured pencils or highlighters. Follow the instructions: • Circle the numbers in the 2 x table in one colour

What do you notice about the numbers you have circled? Can you spot a pattern on the number grid? What do all of the numbers end with? What does this mean?

The numbers circled are all ‘multiples’ of 2. This is a new word that we MUST remember. Multiples of 2 always end with either ‘ 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8’. They are even numbers.

Even or Odd? So even numbers always end with _ ? _ ? _ ? Odd numbers always end with _ ? _ ? _? Finish these sentences: Multiples of 2 are always ______ so they will always end with a ___, ____. Numbers that are in the 2 x table are called _______.

If we know our 2 x table we can double numbers…. What does ‘double’ mean? Add the number to itself. For example, double 4 is 4+4 OR Multiply the number by 2. For example, double 4 is 4 x 2 On the next page choose a task to challenge you.

Remember your mental maths strategies – Partition the number into tens and ones. Double the tens, double the ones, then add them together.

Reading • This is three days worth of work. Please use all days to read about and answer some questions about it. • Also make sure you keep reading your coloured band book.

PE This term in PE we are focusing on football. Have a go at kicking the ball around. You must use the inside part of your foot. If you have a football have a go at kicking the ball backwards and forwards from one foot to the other. You are aiming to kick where this V is.
