• Home Learning Alphabet Typography Photography Challenge We are setting you a creative Photography challenge to complete over the next 5 weeks! • We would like you to complete a series of 26 photographs, 1 for each letter of the Alphabet. • You need to create your own Typography (lettering). Most of the challenges will involve just photographing on your phone, although one week will involve drawing. • Each week you will be given a Photographer/designer/starting point, and the number of letters you need to complete (this will change as some are easier that others!) • Each Challenge will involve subjects, objects and materials that you will have access to at home or close by for example, this week is ‘Food’. • You may wish to do your letters in alphabetical order, or complete different You will need to submit a clear photograph of your drawings in a square or rectangular letters as you go along and tick them off as you go. YOU WILL NEED TO SUBMIT formation at the end of week 5 for final assessment. ALL 26 LETTERS FOR ASSESSMENT AT THE END OF THE 5 WEEKS SO DON’T DELETE
Week 1: Food Make 5 letters this week using any type of food! You can either use food like rice, pasta or beans to make the shape of a letter or use foods that are shaped like the letter already! You could even draw a letter in ketchup on your plate at teatime! Remember you can do ANY 5 letters you like. Take a photo of each on your phone and try to keep them so that they can be cropped to a square shape. Think about using contrasting colours for backgrounds etc. Apps like Pic. Collage make them easy to keep together in a grid, if you want to send them to me via email as you go along I’d love to see them! Remember you will need to submit your whole alphabet in a few weeks time. There will be prizes for the best when we get back to school!

Week 2: Letters you can See Photograph 6 letters this week Find letters on packaging, magazines, signs etc. Remember you can do ANY 6 letters you like as long as you haven’t used them already. Take a photo of a lebel or sign on your phone and crop the letter you need into a square. Apps like Pic. Collage make them easy to keep together in a grid, if you want to send them to me via email as you go along I’d love to see them! Remember you will need to submit your whole alphabet in a few weeks time. There will be prizes for the best when we get back to school!

Week 3: Use your Hands! Photograph 5 letters this week Use your hands (or someone elses) to make the shapes of 5 letters this week. Remember you can do ANY 5 letters you like as long as you haven’t used them already. Take a photo of a the hand/ finger shapes on your phone and crop the letter you need into a square. You could also draw lettering onto your hands or make hand shapes around a letter to change things up! Apps like Pic. Collage make them easy to keep together in a grid, if you want to send them to me via email as you go along I’d love to see them!
