Holo. Trak Ô Omni-directional Bar Code Scanners VAR Training 1999
Holo. Trak Ô Omni-Directional Reader Family n This line of Omni-Directional Bar Code Readers provides a revolutionary product for the bar code market place. IS 8500 IS 8400 n This line provides extraordinary reading capability with prices 1/3 to 1/2 that of other Omni-Directional Readers. IS 8530 IS 8300 Metrologic Instruments Inc.
Holo. Trak Scanner Family- Benefits n Lower Cost – 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of Competitive units n Smaller size – 10”x 6”, or 14”x 15”x 7” n Better reliability – One moving part n Easy manual backup – Undecoded Hand-Held Scanner Port n Large read area Metrologic Instruments Inc.
Metrologic’s Holographic Technology n The price and performance is possible due to Holographic Technology, specifically the use of holographic lenses to focus the lasers. n The only moving part is the spinning disk with the lenses. n As each lens passes each laser, it focuses the beam to the proper focal length. n This results in low cost, small size and great reliability. Metrologic Instruments Inc.
Holographic Disk n A disk has 15, 16 or 21 holographic facets (or lenses) n Each sector is equivalent to two lenses and a mirror n The lens focuses both outgoing and incoming light n Holographic emulsion is sealed between 2 glass disks with epoxy n Disks have been tested by boiling and freezing n Disks rotate at 4200 RPM for up to 7, 350 scan lines /second Metrologic Instruments Inc.
