What is the HMS Ski and Snowboard Club? • 3 Thursday night trips to Bear Creek Mountain • January 9 th • January 23 rd • February 6 th • Rain/snow date: February 20 th • Leave HMS around 3: 15 PM • Return to HMS between 10: 30 and 11: 00 PM • About 3 hours of skiing or snowboarding each trip!
Equipment drop off will occur between 7: 15 to 7: 30 a. m. at HMS • Ski/board equipment on buses not allowed on yellow busses • If student is using their own equipment a. m. drop off is mandatory • Drop off location is the LGI steps in the cafeteria • If student is renting, regular bus for the a. m • All students require a p. m. pick-up.
What Should You Bring? • HMS Sticker should be on your helmet • Clothes for the conditions, keep an eye on the weather the night before • Cash for food and drink • Clear googles • Their equipment and everything they need to make their equipment function properly. • ‘Ride home Clothes’ for comfort
• • • Expectations Everyone has a good time School Trip --- School Rules Apply Helmets all the time –NO EXCEPTIONS Stick with your friends, no solo runs • Stick to trails that you are able to ski/board on- safety first! Bus will leave on time to and from the mountain, Don’t be the person that holds up HUNDREDS people! Take care of your own equipment/gear • Equipment must be stored in a locker or on the shelves
What do you need to do now? • Have parent/guardian complete forms in your packet • Complete the google doc on the ski and board site- this makes it much easier for collection day • Return forms in an envelope with $75 bus check to Mr. Chambers. • Form collection will start on November 7 th in the cafeteria during RA • First come, first serve. We have 3 buses reserved and will start a waiting list at 150 students.
