HOLINESS & SEXUALITY V. S. EVANS
I Thessalonians 4: 3 -4 God wants you to live a pure life. Keep yourselves from sexual promiscuity. (casual and indiscriminate sexual relationships) Learn to appreciate and give dignity to your body, not abusing it, as is so common among those who know nothing of God. (Message)
I Thessalonians 4: 3 -4 It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable (NIV) For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication (voluntary sexual intercourse between persons not married to each other) That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; (KJV)
ల గకత ఉదదశయ 2. Pleasure God created a continuing sexual interest and sexual appeal in human beings. This in itself is a healthy trait of the human mind and is triggered by hormones that God designed the body to produce. న యవనక లప స తష ప మ భ రయయ ద . స మతల 5: 18
Sin marred Sexuality They saw no difference between a hand, whose purpose was to give charity and to do good deeds, a mouth with which one praises God and says kind words to others, and the parts of the body which are used to "be fruitful and multiply. " With every organ they could fulfill the will of God or vice versa, so no organ was shameful, nor did anything need to be covered
Sin marred Sexuality Adam & Eve – their thoughts on viewing each other were no longer pure and innocent. They quickly covered their genital organs they became aware of physical lust "and they realized that they were naked" – and only now it was inappropriate for them to be unclothed
What is shame? Shame is an intense feeling of angst that makes you wish you could evaporate; extreme humiliation and remorse; a despairing of life from abject embarrassment Shame puts you in a bondage of self-perception Shame handcuffs you to your past Shame won’t let you receive love Shame steals your joy Shame makes you settle for less than you deserve Shame thrusts you into destructive tendencies
