The Ultimate Responsibility n n Of a transformed life is to hold forth the word of life. Bible study – Read; Think; Apply Philippians – written from prison; a dark and foreboding place. Yet an epistle of joy – how is this possible?
Children of God Are… n n n Blameless and harmless – v. 15 Where? – both they and we live in “the real world”. “Phosteres en kosmoi” – lights in the cosmic sky – stars shining brightly at night Matt. 5: 14; John 1: 4; 8: 12 “Among whom you are seen as bright lights…stars or beacons shining out clearly in the dark world” (Amplified Version) “Let the lower lights be burning…” #237

Application: n n Too much gap between principle and practice; saying and doing; believing and working; knowing and going; being saved and sounding forth. YOU can set an example; save a soul; but speaking is required. I Tim. 4: 12; I Peter 5: 3; Eph. 4: 16
What Stops Us? n n n Lack of love? Luke 19: 41; 2 Cor. 2: 4 Laziness and indifference? Selfishness? Materialism? Think we can “get by” without it? Just never got started.
