HILL SUN CHARTERING PTE LTD Hom Products Contact Us e About Us Realizing the importance of having regular shipping services to destinations directly from source, we approached the best possible candidates to service the Arabian gulf markets on a regular basis. In the mid 90’s , contracts of affreightments were structured, which enabled certain shipping carriers to structure regular and dedicated services to destinations across the Arabian gulf and other parts of the meast. As the markets grew for vegetable oils, so did our volumes both for oils procurement and the need for additional space. With support from a couple of Japanese owned shipping carriers of oils and chemicals, today both large and small ports ranging from Salalah, in Yemen to larger ports like Jebel Ali are serviced regularly carrying various oils from in and around Malaysia and Indonesia. Further volumes are being generated from out of the meast into the Indian sub continent and far east, with products that include edible oils and chemicals. Services: Access to markets. Reliable charterers information. Managing resources. Schedules and planning. HILL SUN SERVICES PTE LTD Hom Products Contact Us e RBD WINTERIZED CORN OIL Description Corn oil is extracted from the germ of corn. There are various methods of extracting oil from the seed germs. However, the best oil in terms of health benefits is the cold pressed oil. The oil when extracted is dense and needs to be refined before it is used for cooking purposes. The common process of making corn oil involves expeller pressing. Free fatty acids in the crude corn oil are then removed through alkali treatment in a process called Neutralization. Undesirable colors are removed in a process called bleaching. The oil is winterized to solidify the unwanted wax & then wax is removed using filter press. The oil under vacuum at very high temperature has its remaining free fatty acids and volatiles removed. Application It can be use in various food applications. Its main use is in cooking, where its high smoke point makes refined corn oil a valuable frying oil. It is also a key ingredient in some margarines.
