Choo-Choo Examine the Railroad Track Model of Group Development. • Have you been on a team that focused on one side? • If you were on a teacher team last year, what side did y’all emphasize? How do you know? • On which rail do you prefer to ride at work? • What activities/actions build relationships? • As a new team member or for new team members, how do we catch [them] up with both tasks and relationships? 7
The Tasks for an Academy Team Once a week for an hour during common planning, we make decisions about: • RESPONSIVE INTERVENTIONS • STANDARDS-BASED, INTERDISCIPLINARY INSTRUCTION • ACADEMY IDENTITY AND TEAMING What does that look like? Think-Pair-Share by table. Reviewing the Gap Analysis document.
Examining the Agenda Categories Number off 1 -10. Chart paper with categories around room. On the chart paper, write examples of meetings tasks, discussions, decisions that would fall in that category. Can you do each topic every meeting? Is the team leader responsible for all of it? Look at an agenda sample.
Team Roles Examine the sample team roles document without descriptions. What do you think each role entails? Frayer model (if time allows).
