High School Teacher Job description: High school teachers work with students who are in high school. Most are specialized in one subject and teach five to six classes a day. Teachers must be creative in order to keep the students interested in their classes. Some high school teachers have to tutor students and help them after or class. Teachers must be good role models and teach students life skills. They must be open with students and allow them to talk to them about issues outside of school. Earnings: A teacher’s earnings vary depending on a lot of factors. For example, a new teacher tends to make less than a teacher that has been teaching for a long time. New teachers tend to make $35, 000 to $45, 000 but that will increase if the teacher has a masters degree. A experienced teacher usually makes around $40, 000 to $84, 000.
