Correlation of Hi. SET to Other Assessments Using Hi. SET Cut Scores to Identify Proficiency Levels that Equate to Standards as Measured by College Placement Tests • We have linked the item pool we use for the Hi. SET to collegereadiness benchmarks used for the ACT in studies conducted by the University of Iowa. • Empirical data from these studies identifies the location on the Hi. SET scale that is consistent with ACT’s college and career readiness benchmarks in the various test areas. • Initially, we will use concordance tables that establish the relationship between ACT scores and COMPASS scores to establish a similar relationship between Hi. SET and COMPASS scores. • However, over time, ETS and the ITP/University of Iowa will work with Nevada to monitor the appropriateness of these readiness indicators for your college and workplace populations. • This process would involve collecting both COMPASS and Hi.
