Dual Enrollment College courses that are taught at high schools by FCPS teachers • Typically English 12 & US Government but also includes certain CTE courses throughout FCPS • Classes sponsored by NOVA are free • Opportunity to earn transferable college credit while in HS that will meet high school graduation requirements as well

IB Diploma Requirements 6 IB Exams • 4 HL and 2 SL, or 3 HL and 3 SL Most IB courses offered in two-year sequences Creativity, Action, and Service Project Theory of Knowledge - Critically examine different ways of knowing (perception, emotion, language, and reason) and different kinds of knowledge (scientific, artistic, mathematical, and historical). Extended Essay - Requirement for students to engage in independent research through an in-depth study of a question relating to one of the subjects they are studying.

Dual Enrollment through NOVA DE students must apply to NOVA, meet college readiness standards and complete and submit a form in order to enroll in courses. • All steps are generally handled within the school. Students are NOVA students and establish a college transcript through NOVA Dual Enrollment classes can be used at NOVA or at many four-year colleges.
