Expected Outcomes The program is planned to address the following objectives: • to provide opportunities for the students of the deprived community to get activity based education • to implement a cultural exchange program among the children of diverse culture • to learn and articulate more about their selves and their immediate environment and gradually, through interactions with their peers in other countries should be able to develop a global perspective

Project Process • Profiles of the teachers are exchanged with the counterparts. • A

Project Process • Profiles of the teachers are exchanged with the counterparts. • A topic is given to the teachers and children. • Children work on the given topic, do a little research on it and then draw and write on it. • Children then arrange all the drawings and writings to prepare a book. • The book is handed over to the coordinator by the teachers. • Coordinator scans the “book”, digitalizes it and makes corrections/translates the write-ups of the children.

Project Process–Cont. • That digitalized book (called a Newspaper) is mailed to the counterpart.

Project Process–Cont. • That digitalized book (called a Newspaper) is mailed to the counterpart. • On receiving the newspaper from the counterpart, printouts are given to the children and the digitalized version is shown to the children on a laptop/computer. Children discuss the newspaper in the class. • Children ask questions on the newspaper from their counterpart. • Those questions are mailed to the counterparts and on getting the reply, answers are forwarded to the children.
