RESCUED FROM WRATH � Wrath = hot anger, judgment, punishment � The wrath of God against sin is inevitable. � God’s holy nature demands that He punish sin. � Scripture is filled with both warning and example: Gen 6; 19; John 3. 36 � The coming “Day of the Lord” is characterized by wrath and judgment.

Rom 1. 18, 28 -2. 3 � But by His Grace, God offers a way of escape!!! � Ezekiel 6. 8, 9 The Flood, Sodom & Gomorrah � God’s eternal plan includes a way of rescue, deliverance, redemption… � His plan involved a Man who would experience wrath in place of others.

WHO WOULD DO THAT? � Jesus experienced the wrath of man… � Jesus experienced

WHO WOULD DO THAT? � Jesus experienced the wrath of man… � Jesus experienced the wrath of Satan… � Jesus even experienced the wrath of God… � Isa 53. 5 -7, 10 a; 2 Cor 5. 21 � But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

WHAT ABOUT YOU? � If you receive the Gift of Salvation by faith in
