Step 2: Type Your ‘Reflective Paragraph’ (AKA ARTICLE) 1. TYPE a reflective paragraph A. (MLA Format) Explains your choice of hero (how this hero represents the weekly hero theme) B. Identifies why this individual can be defined as a “hero” C. Identifies how this individual has impacted society D. Identifies how this individual embodies the values of the society in which they live/d (for example, Hercules embodied the Greeks’ value of physical strength). **You MUST use textual evidence to support your assertions! In-text citations are required! **

Step 3: Add a Visual • PRINT/DRAW an image of the hero (your image must be large enough to fill the top half a standard sized sheet of paper), AND provide the name of the hero as the TITLE.

Step 4: SUBMIT! (and SHARE… maybe) Note: You will submit this assignment as a paper copy in class AND turnitin. com Paper copy: Staple your image/paragraph to your annotated source and submit each week (due dates below). Turnitin. com: Submit your paragraph to turnitin. com by 11: 59 pm on the due date (only the paragraph-not the article/image)

Lead into all quotes with a power verb. • Citations must be correct—Author last name or “Article Title”--NO website names—No crediting hero with the quote (even if they said it) • Image with paragraph—not article • Correct MLA format (heading, header, double space, 12 point font, 1 inch margins • Don’t forget to submit to turnitin. com! You will receive a zero if you forget.
