Herefordshire Social Work Academy Safeguarding and Family Support Childrens Procedures (TRI-X) Quick Guide The shortcut should be on your desktop, if not call 0160 and ask for a link to be placed on your desktop. • This is Herefordshire's procedures manual and it covers most of the policies and procedures that apply to your work. It also contains a link to the West Midlands Procedure Manual. • Register for updates by clicking on the button on the left hand pane. • The left hand pane also contains the most relevant areas that you need to access: • The Contents page should be your starting point. This is separated into practice areas that you can drill into to get to the information you need. This is far quicker than using the search button. • The contents section includes a Learning and Practice section that offers guidance on areas such as assessment and recording as well as links to external learning and information resources such as the NSPCC resource Library. • The Contents section also has a list of Overarching Childrens Wellbeing and Family Support policies and guidance such as the Whistleblowing Policy and information on the complaints procedure • Using the search button is likely to bring up irrelevant information unless you word your search carefully and limit the results by using the match function under the search box to search for all search words. • • • TRI-X procedures will not be updated immediately when a policy or procedure change is made. They are updated six monthly. When a policy or procedure is updated pending TRI-X update the amended policy or procedure will be on Sharepoint: https: //teams. herefordshire. gov. uk/aws/_l ayouts/15/start. aspx#/Procedures/Forms/ All. Items. aspx The left hand pane has a link to the West Midlands Procedures. These are the Child Protection and Safeguarding regional procedures that cover nine Local Safeguarding Childrens Boards across the West Midlands, including Herefordshire. It is vital that you search Herefordshire specific content by picking Herefordshire from the drop-down list on the left hand pane below where you see Please select a board to see additional information: if not then you may be looking at incorrect information If you cannot find what you are looking for in Tri-X then it will be on the West Midlands Procedures.
