Verified Credit A verified credit is a credit you earn through passing the SOL of a particular class. Your number of verified credits is not the same as your required credits. If you are currently in a high school credited course and pass the SOL, this will not count toward your verified credits. The course and SOL has to be taken while in high school. For a standard and advanced diploma you need 2 verified credits in English, 1 verified credit in Math, 1 verified credit in a Lab Science, and 1 verified credit in a Social Studies. This is the first year that this requirement has changed. You only need 5 total verified credits now no matter what diploma type you are striving for.

th 9 RISING Grade SCHEDULING TIMELINE What is next? 1. 2. The online google form must be completed and submitted by January 29 th. Counselors will meet with students and parents to finalize course requests during all of February. Students and parents should complete course selections online through Student. Vue as they are completing the online google form. Student. Vue access will be closed on Friday, February 19 th at 11: 59 p. m. Only your counselor will be able to lock in your courses online, so don’t worry about this part. We will do this when we meet with students independently. * Once your counselor meets with you in person to go over your classes it is submitted to the high school, which means we no longer have access to it. Really think about the classes you want to take because you will not be able to come back later and change them. *

How will you know when your counselor is going to meet with you? Counselors

How will you know when your counselor is going to meet with you? Counselors will be meeting with students starting the beginning of February through Geography/Science classes. You will be called out of your class into a breakout room to meet with your counselor on any given day. That is why it is important that you complete the google form online by January 29 th because if we pull you from class to meet with you and you have not yet filled this out, we will be completing the google form with you the day you are called. No matter what, we only have 15 minutes to meet with each student. With this in mind, please take the time to fill out the google form so that our time can be spent talking to you about the classes you wish to take and any questions you may have versus filling out a form.
