With the crowd in heaven, we say: “Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving, honour, power and might: All be to our God for ever and ever. Amen. ”
(Time of quiet to be in presence of the Lord)
O God, make speed to save us, All O Lord, make haste to help us.
Your faithful servants bless you, All they make known the glory of your kingdom.
SONG ‘Draw me close to you’
Jesus said: “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe in me also: All In my Father’s house, they are many rooms.
If it were not so, I would have told you: All I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, All and I will take you to myself, so that where I am, you may be also.
Blessed be God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit: All Blessed be God for ever!
That this evening may be holy, good and peaceful, let us pray with one heart and mind.
All As our evening prayer rises before you, O God, so may your mercy come down upon us, to cleanse our hearts and set us free to sing your praise, now and for ever. Amen.
THE WORD OF GOD The book of the promises
PSALM (Good News Version) Psalm 112
Praise the LORD! Happy is the person who honours the LORD, who takes pleasure in obeying his commands. 2 The good man's children will be powerful in the land; his descendants will be blessed.
His family will be wealthy and rich, and he will be prosperous forever. 4 Light shines in the darkness for good people, for those who are merciful, kind, and just. 3
Happy is the person who is generous with his loans, who runs his business honestly. 6 A good person will never fail; he will always be remembered. 5
He is not afraid of receiving bad news; his faith is strong, and he trusts in the LORD. 8 He is not worried or afraid; he is certain to see his enemies defeated. 7
9 He gives generously to the needy, and his kindness never fails; he will be powerful and respected.
10 The wicked see this and are angry; they glare in hate and disappear; their hopes are gone forever.
Glory to the Father, by the Son, in the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and shall be for ever. Amen. Or: Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and shall be for ever. Amen.
Generous God, save us from the meanness that calculates its interest and hoards its earthly gain; as we have freely received, so may we freely give; in the grace of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

37 With a loud cry, Jesus took his last breath. 38 The temple curtain was torn in two from top to bottom. 39 A Roman commander was standing there in front of Jesus. He saw how Jesus died. Then he said, “This man was surely the Son of God!” (Mark 15. 37 -39; NIr. V)
Whoever wants to save their life will lose it. All but whoever lose their life for me will find it. For me, to live is Christ and to die is a gain. All Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Glory to the Father, by the Son, in the Holy Spirit: All Whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever lose their life for me will find it.
(Time of quiet adoration)
CANTICLE Luke 1. 46 -55 (Good News Version) We have come before throne of God to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
My heart praises the Lord; my soul is glad because of God my Saviour, for he has remembered me, his lowly servant!
From now on all people will call me happy, because of the great things the Mighty God has done for me. His name is holy; from one generation to another he shows mercy to those who honour him.
He has stretched out his mighty arm and scattered the proud with all their plans. He has brought down mighty kings from their thrones, and lifted up the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things, and sent the rich away with empty hands.
He has kept the promise he made to our ancestors, and has come to the help of his servant Israel.
He has remembered to show mercy to Abraham and to all his descendants forever!
Glory to the Father, by the Son, in the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and shall be for ever. Amen. Or: Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and shall be for ever. Amen.
We have come before throne of God to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
PRAYERS FOR THE WORLD -For the people met during the day and their needs -For the Church and her mission
That you may hasten the day of Christ’s return, when many will come from east and west, from north and south, and sit at your kingdom.
(We offer ourselves to the Lord)
All Almighty God, you have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord: grant us grace so to follow your blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living that we may come to those inexpressible joys that you have prepared for those who truly love you; through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
THE LORD’S PRAYER As our Saviour taught us, so we pray with confidence:
(Modern Version) (Traditional Version) Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be your name; Your kingdom come; Your will be done; on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, now and for ever. Amen. Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
SONG ‘Revelation Song’
SENDING OUT May Christ, who has opened the kingdom of heaven: All bring us to reign with him in glory. Amen.
Let us bless the Lord. All Thanks be to God.
