Matthew 7: 1 -5 “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what

Matthew 7: 1 -5 “Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you mete it shall be measured to you again. And why behold you the mote that is in your brother’s eye, but consider not the beam that is in your own eye? Or how will you say to your brother ‘Let me pull the mote out of your eye. ’ and, behold, a beam is in your own eye? You hypocrite. First cast out the beam out of your own eye; and then you shall see clearly to cast out the mote out of your brother’s eye. ”

Some words we don’t hear often • Mete = measure. One of my favorite

Some words we don’t hear often • Mete = measure. One of my favorite preachers puts it like this: how you give determines what you receive; teaspoons or dump trucks. What you give in faith is your choice. • Rend = tear, as in tear you to pieces • Mote = speck of dust • Holy = set apart for a higher purpose • Hypocrite = actor, pretender, phony • How you judge is how you will be judged!

Why the scribes and Pharisees? • These are the ones who had the most

Why the scribes and Pharisees? • These are the ones who had the most access to the Word of Yahweh’s Love! • They used the Word to boast and to hurt others, rather than to love them. • They used to Word to make themselves appear holier than others, rather than to bring others to holiness. • They used the Word to steal from the poor, foreclose on widow’s houses, etc. • These were the religious leaders of Yeshua’s time! • Take notice of their end. • And compare to the religious of our day.

Matthew 7: 6 “Give not that which is holy to the dogs, neither cast

Matthew 7: 6 “Give not that which is holy to the dogs, neither cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. ” • Now that we have learned to judge righteously, be careful who you reveal the things of the Word to. • Hear the Holy Spirit in this: telling people the Truth of the Word when they are not ready can hurt them as well as turn on you. Only He knows when they are ready. • I can attest to that from personal experience. Ask me about it, sometime! • Betrayals are part of the end time scenario. The wisdom and love of Yahweh are required to bring more to Him.

Important Teaching! • It is not fun to examine ourselves. But it is needed

Important Teaching! • It is not fun to examine ourselves. But it is needed in our search for His righteousness (Matthew 6: 33). • But once we realize where we stand, we can run to a Father who loves us – and wants to bless us if we truly repent. He will help us to change! • This is what He loves to do! • Let’s please the Father by judging ourselves on a regular basis… • And running to Him forgiveness AND cleansing! • 1 John 1: 7 -9
