EDW+Participant+Guide+for+Using+Projects What determines which dashboards I am able to access? Your access will depend on which organisation you work for and your role within that organisation. For example if you are a GP in a group of practices you may have access to the entire group’s population, not just your own practice. You will have access to NCL wide high level information where appropriate to support patient care. How often is the data refreshed within Healthe. Analytics reports? The data is refreshed every 24 -48 hours. Certain standard/reference information such as deprivation scores is updated less frequently depending on how frequently the data is publicly available. Is the data within Registries and Analytics the same? Both Healthe. Registries and Healthe. Analytics use the same data onboarded onto the Healthe. Intent platform. Healthe. Analytics, as a full service EDW, can also onboard other datasets which are not required to undergo Healthe. Intent Normalisation/Standardisation (Reference datasets such as IMD or Geographical Hierarchy). These datasets are uploaded direct to Healthe. Analytics Vertica database. Who/how have the dashboards been designed? The dashboards have been designed via a Use Case Driven Approach for Agile Development, with STP Analytics leads and users from relevant clinical areas. 2 © Cerner Corporation. All rights reserved. Questions Answers Is patient level information available within the tool? And am I able to drill down to it? There are different access levels to the analytics. For the wider dashboards it displays mainly aggregated data with no patient information. Where PID is included in the creation of the dashboards, these are pseudonymised for the Analysts creating the dashboard. The same access level is provided to Analysts who shouldn’t have access to PID. For GPs who would need to see their patient lists after reviewing dashboards they would have the pseudonymised key in their access and would be able to see the PID information ( mainly demographics) and the aggregate clinical data used in the dashboard (hba 1 c, BMI etc. ) How do I access the underlying data within the reports? Users will not have access to the underlying data within any visualisation/chart, only patient lists where appropriate row level security is in place. How do I save a particular view within a report? (i. e. set filter view) How have the reports been built? A custom view is a way to save the current state of a dashboard or view after you’ve made selections or changes like sorting, filtering, panning, zooming, drilling down or altering parameters. Think of custom views as a way to bookmark your data. When you have a dashboard exactly as you want it, with all the filters, sorts, selections and zooms applied, click the View option in the toolbar. Enter a name for your custom view that helps you remember what interactions it has. Then click Save to preserve the custom view. As an option before saving, you can ‘Make it my default’, which means that, for you, any link that points to this dashboard’s original view will automatically include your modifications. All reports have been built using Tableau or SAP Business. Objects. Tableau is a data visualization tool used to create dashboards. SAP Business. Objects is an analytic application used to create reports. 3 © Cerner Corporation. All rights reserved. Questions Answers How is ‘potential’ unwarranted variation calculated in the QI dashboard? Potential unwarranted variation is calculated by using Age and Gender Indirectly Standardised Ratio (IDSR) and 95% confidence intervals. The IDSR looks at the observed/expected amount of people meeting a measure *100. The expected is calculated using the population selected in the 'select your comparator' option on this dashboard. How are patients living in nursing homes picked up by the dashboards? The algorithm looks at a combination of the patient's address and postcode comparing them to a list of nursing home locations in NCL. Why are some of our practice paediatric asthma patients not appearing in the Cerner Registry? For a patient to appear in the Cerner Registry, the patient must have a diagnosis effective date entered in EMIS, in addition to the diagnosis code. How is the e. FI calaculated The e. FI is calculated in the same way as the original e. FI using the presence of 36 deficits to calculate the chances that a patient may be frail and expressing this as a score.
