Health Education England Strategy & Planning To lead the development of HEE’s strategic framework to reflect the long term strategy needs of the health and public health service. Performance & Development To provide national leadership for the development and performance management of Local Education Training Boards (LETBs). People & Communications: To lead and direct the people, communications, and corporate development strategies for the organisation to ensure that it develops a workforce which meets the needs of the service. Finance To develop and deliver a national finance strategy for Health Education England Education and Quality To provide clinical leadership for HEE and ensure high quality education and training for the health care workforce in England. To ensure that education and training reflects the needs of patients and communities. These structures will apply in the initial stages of the development of the Special Health Authority but will be subject to change as the organisation develops. All posts will be reviewed in advance of April 2013 when Health Education England takes on its full responsibilities and powers as a Special Health Authority. The structures in this document cover HEE centre only; they do not reflect all the functions previously undertaken by SHAs which will be incorporated into Local Education and Training Boards.
