He has filled the hungry with good things

“He has filled the hungry with good things, And the rich He has sent away empty. ” (Luke 1: 53)

2 Corinthians 7: 4 “Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my boasting on your behalf. I am filled with comfort. I am exceedingly joyful in all our tribulation. ” Many reasons for comfort, not the least of which is the common faith we have with our brethren.

2 Timothy 1: 3 -5 “I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day, 4 greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy, 5 when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also. ”

Romans 15: 13 “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. ” The joy we have comes through the hope which is supplied through Christ. “In Him the Gentiles shall hope” (cf. vs. 12).
