Example Policies Available Soon (May 1 – July 1) A number of providers have asked for assistance of this kind We want to lessen the time going back and forth between providers and SMEs on policy language Our aim is to provide an appropriate and approvable policy example for each HCBS requirement (each area of potential non-compliance) If providers can more easily get policies in place, they can focus their energies on the critical work of: determining how to put policies into practice training staff on policies and expectations gathering necessary evidence of policies being implemented in practice which is essential for full remediation Policies in practice = where real, positive impact on individuals happens
Submitting Evidence of Remediation As we’ve gotten more fully into the transition initiative, our team has revisited what makes the most sense for submitting remediation Our revised guidance: Submit agency-wide documentation on Provider Page Examples: Policies All-staff training Agency-wide procedures Submit setting-specific documentation on Setting’s Profile Page Examples: Service notes Community activity calendars Photos Menus Setting-specific procedures Setting-specific training REMINDER: No PII Before submitting documentation that may include names, be sure to remove or black out the individual’s name R Per eme m s Inf onal ber – orm Ide nti no ati fi on (no able PII)
