HBCU LA Digital Collection - Background • • • Digital Collection Celebrating the Founding of the Historically Black College and University Started in 2005 with funding from Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Five year partnership with LYRASIS and Cornell University Libraries gained expertise in digitization, metadata, digital preservation Platform for online access: CONTENTdm hosted by AUC Scope focused on public domain materials representing the founding of each institution.

Archive Cooperative for digital preservation Until 2018, AUC RWWL hosted CONTENTdm portal. Spring of 2018, portal migrated to OCLC’s cloud hosted version, https: //hbcudigillibrary. auctr. edu/digital/ AUC RWWL continues to provide technical support for CONTENTdm and Meta. Archive
