How Does the HBA Group Mentoring Program Work? Potential mentees and mentors register via the HBA website, then complete an online application Information in the application is used by the Mentoring Program Committee in the match process to create mentoring groups (circles) • Group = 2 mentors + 4 -5 mentees Mentor • Match process takes into account: - Geography Mentee needs/goals Mentor expertise/experience Diversity, different organizational settings/affiliations (to the degree possible) Mentee Mentor © 2018, Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. Registration Process, Deadline, Investment • Program only offered once a year • Register on the HBA website at: http: //bit. ly/2020 SEMent • Deadline: February 21 st 2020 • Registrants receive a link to the application survey; must be completed by deadline to be considered. • Mentee program fee: $225 (early bird)/ $250 (regular) Paid at time of registration. • Based on the number of activity hours, investment is only ~$10 -13/hour. • Mentor program fee: $0 - There is no charge for mentors, who volunteer their time and expertise to the program and their mentees. • This is an HBA members-only program; both mentees and mentors must be members. While they don’t need to be an HBA member to apply, if they are accepted into the program and decide to participate, they must be/become an HBA member prior to the Kickoff event.
