Have you ever Wondered? Why some, • • Fail to deliver at the big stage? Freeze during crunch situations? Do well at one level but fail badly, in spite of hours of practice, a level above? People often say to themselves that, “I don’t want to get out when I go in to bat” but, get out quickly!! Psychology and Cricket • Mental preparation is often overlooked in cricket. “Knowing yourself" is also one of the harder skills to develop as both a player and a person. It's far more than just practicing. • The fact is, everyone uses their mind, the only difference is how much you control it or how much it controls you. Technical Ability Potential Physical Ability Mental Skills Performance Tactical Ability • Even if a player is supremely fit and technically sound if the Mind is not clear/confident that shows in the performance of the player • Cricket is a game that obviously requires talent, but when talent is evenly matched, as it so often is, the formula for success comes from strength of mind. • In sum, arguably the biggest challenge to a cricketer is not the learning of the skills but being able to deliver during crunch situations

We understand that it’s not easy ! Unfortunately, there is no simple answer to becoming a better batsman or a better bowler or a better fielder. No magic formula that will make you suddenly hit beautiful on-drives or bowl a beautiful out swinger when you always use to struggle with the shot or the ball. The secret to becoming a better batsman/bowler/fielder lies in a number of things: • • Understanding and doing the basics right Understanding the psychology behind the game, YOUR game Knowing WHAT NOT TO DO when the situations do not suit YOU Understanding cricket beyond a point, is above the shoulders.

Testimonials “My son Arjun started playing cricket at the age of 6 in S. California, due to lack of active youth cricket program we decided to move to Dallas. Before moving to Dallas, we met coach Dan (Dhandapani) to assess Arjun’s skills and his feedback was positive, which drove us to relocate to Dallas to pursue his cricket career. After we moved to Dallas, Arjun started working with coach Dan at a group coaching program where he used to get coached for couple of hours a week, later than I realized that he needs more personal attention from a dedicated coach who could monitor his progress on a constant basis and who knows his strengths and weakness and coach accordingly. Coach Dan started coaching Arjun 1: 1 him last summer (2015), and I’m really impressed with his approach and his emphasize on basics. Coach Dan has some gifted coaching skills which helps him to identify a problem with any player as well as the identifying root cause of that problem. Once he knows the rootcause of the problem, he puts a lot of thought process even during non-coaching time, which helps him to come up with specific coaching drills for each player. We really feel very lucky to have met him and would highly recommend to anyone who is really serious about cricket career as well as anyone who is specifically looking to fine tuning their cricketing techniques. Good Luck!!!” - https: //www. wevideo. com/view/757665885 - Senthilnathan “Coach Dhanda is finest of all. My son Advik NOW plays all strokes from the book. I know there are many coaches who could do the same, but what separates Dhanda is his unique ability to understand the state of mind of a cricketer and at the same point coming up with innovative ways to fine tune the technical aspect personalized to the player. But the best part is his dedication from the bottom of his heart and commitment towards my son. Coach Dhanda is not for you if you are looking to play just recreational cricket. He takes his coaching seriously and you should too. - Anu Dixit"
