Overview Every year HART sets out a plan for legislative priorities. • Presented today

Overview Every year HART sets out a plan for legislative priorities. • Presented today is an overview of projects and policy objectives the Agency feels comfortable pursuing. • This is not a one year/done list, this is an overview of what ‘needs’ currently exist. • This list has been vetted by Holland & Knight to ensure they see avenues for achievement and success. • Today we ask the committee to discuss, ask questions and make a recommendations outlining this year’s focus to be discussed at the full Board in November. 2

State Level Projects Funding requests at the State Level will require a legislative strategy to ensure that HART is not appropriating dollars already committed to projects in the FDOT work program. 4

Federal Level Projects Applying for grants at the Federal Level to advance programs and projects is something HART will continue to pursue and accomplish. • The grants listed are specific to on going projects or for projects HART wishes to pursue. • A special focus will go towards electric vehicle fleet and infrastructure. • With the assistance of Holland & Knight, HART will continue to review new grant programs as they are introduced. 5

Election The pending election will determine the focus of funding at the Federal level.

Election The pending election will determine the focus of funding at the Federal level. At the State level we are currently meeting with expected leadership of both the Senate and House to ensure we create and solidify those relationships. Regardless of the outcome on election night, Holland & Knight is prepared to engage and provide robust legislative support for HART. 6
