Location Scout • For the Godric’s Hollow location, the real location of Lavenham has been chosen, as this was the location used in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. • This will allow the new film to feel consistent with the original series and may create a feeling of nostalgia. • This location will be exterior and will capture the look of the book description of Godric’s Hollow. • In terms of sound, the area will be quiet, allowing for clear sound. • However, there are little to no power capabilities outside, so a generator will need to be brought to the location. • Additionally, it is almost two hours away from the Studio set in Watford, so transport for the cast and crew will need to be organised. • Catering and accommodation will also need to be provided, as filming will take four hours and will be over a number of days.

Production Schedule • The opening shot of St. Pancras will not require any actors but will require a drone to fly over and film an establishing shot. • As King’s Cross Station is in London and the Warner Bros. Studio is in Watford, the journey between the two is not particularly long. • Therefore, these two scenes can be filmed in one day. • However, it will be a ten hour day, so catering will need to be provided and the cast and crew will need to take regular breaks.

Budget Report • As this film is a Warner Bros. production and part of a huge franchise, it will likely have a high budget. • Budget considerations include the cost of well-known actors, props and costume, hiring of locations, drones and equipment, cost of transport, accommodation and catering. • As this is a fantasy film with magic, a large amount of money will also need to be spent on CGI and special effects. • Taking all of this into consideration and looking at the cost of previous Harry Potter films, the budget for this film will likely be 130 -150 million USD.
