Apalachee Diversion Apalachee Withdrawal Permit: • Ga. EPD Approval: June 2008 • Permit No. 147 -0307 -03 • Maximum Day: 60 MGD (92. 8 CFS)
Apalachee Diversion Projected Withdrawals: • Typical withdrawals from the Apalachee will be made at high water level (Wet Weather) • During drought conditions, permit dictates minimum river flow to protect downstream habitat
Apalachee Diversion Protected Downstream Flows: • Typical Withdrawal Permits require protection of 7 Q 10 flows only • HLC Permit requires protection of % Mean Annual Flow (206 CFS) based on Reservoir Levels
Apalachee Diversion Monitoring Requirements: Upstream and Downstream • USGS Streamflow Gages • Continuous Water Quality Monitoring Stations (DO, Temp, p. H, and Turbidity) • Biological Monitoring Stations • Monthly Data Reporting
Apalachee Diversion Projected Withdrawals: • No Apalachee withdrawals anticipated through 2030 • Phased withdrawals following 2030 based on Water Demands • Demand Horizon: 50 -70 Years
