Special Programs Information
Special Programs Data AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination): 105 students enrolled Dual Language: 12 students enrolled This class is designed to instruct advanced academic students in a higher level Spanish course. Students must meet certain requirements to enroll in the course and it also counts as a high school credit. MAP (Magnet Academic Program): 60 students enrolled This class is designed to aide English Language Learners in their journey at becoming proficient in English. Advanced Placement Spanish: 22 students enrolled This class is designed to help students prepare for college. It teaches them necessary organizational skills, study skills, and social skills. This program is designed to cater to the needs of students who excel in Math and Science. Their courses are in these specific areas and are two levels above their grade level; they must test into the program. SPED (Special Education): 119 students enrolled This department offers many academic opportunities for students who quality under the Special Education umbrella such as: 504, inclusion, Life Skills, etc. These students are given the modifications and accommodations they need in order to be successful.
