Hamburger United States of America The United States is a country located in North America. It has a variety of terrain, including mountains, deserts, forests, and wetlands. One of the primary ingredients in the United States diet is beef, and it is commonly used to make hamburgers The United States has a particularly great landscape for raising cattle. Beef cattle require space to forage for grass. Many states have a lot of land that they use for raising cattle. States that are warm and dry, like Texas are ideal for raising cattle because it requires less feed resources. Hamburgers are important to the history of the United States because they were invented to feed factory workers. According to Tori Avey “Hungry workers would order food through a window and eat quickly before heading back inside to work. ” She also points out “While well-liked by customers, the Hamburg steak proved difficult to eat while standing. ” This shows that the buns that make a hamburger were only necessary because it helped customers from the factories hold it while standing. Hamburgers are a popular dish in the United States. The history of factory workers needing a meal they could hold helped create the dish. The terrain and climate made it easier to raise the cows necessary to make hamburgers. Due to its history and geography the hamburger probably couldn’t have been invented anywhere else
