HAITI : HPMP IMPLEMENTATION STATUS Ø Ø Ø The stage 1 HPMP for Haiti was approved at the 68 th Meeting of the Executive Committee (3 -7 December 2012) Stage 1 of the HPMP for the period 2012 to 2020 was approved at the total funding level of US 312. 16 consisting of 182, 881 plus agency support costs of US 23. 775 and US 97, 119 plus 8, 741 for UNDP. Target : Phase out of 35% Of HCFC consumption by 2020 ; baseline of 3, 63 ODP tonnes as starting point. The first tranche of stage 1 for the HPMP and the corresponding implementation plan , was approved in the amount of US 40, 000 to be implemented by UNEP The second tranche of stage 1 was approved and will be considered in the administration plan of UNEP in 2018

ACHIEVEMENT � � � Ratification of Beijing amendment Observation of the freeze and 10% of reduction in the importation of HCFC over the baseline that is 66 TM Issue of a ministerial order to the Ministry of Finance, to he Custom Administration and the General Monitoring system requiring of each of these entities for the effective implementation of licensing system for granting import quota for HCFCs to meet 10% in 2015 quota reduction and 35% in 2020. 3 workshops for custom officers : 75 agents trained 3 workshops for technicians from the “ informal sector” : 66 technicians trained. The national Ozone Unit will report directly to the Minister according to the current organic ley of the ministry of Environment.
