HACH TL 23 SERIES TURBIDIMETERS Trusted measurement for high range turbidity applications; simplified

AGENDA • Overview of Hach’s benchtop turbidity portfolio • Introducing the new TL 23 – Improved and intuitive design – A smart device for more reliable measurements – Easy to use. Easy to be right • Order information • Ratio technology overview 2

NEW ADDITIONS TO THE HACH BENCHTOP TURBIDITY PORTFOLIO 2100 N/AN benchtop turbidimeters will be discontinued TL 23 Series benchtop turbidimeters (same optics as 2100 N/AN) Industrial and waste water applications with high ranges of turbidity samples TU 5200 (benchtop unit from TU 5 series with matching 360° x 90° detection) Drinking water and other pure water applications

TL 23 APPLICATIONS TL 23 turbidity measurement range: 0 – 10, 000 NTU 4

TL 23 OVERVIEW 5

TL 23 BENEFITS - IMPROVED AND INTUITIVE DESIGN The TL 23 Series’ large full colour touch screen display and intuitive user interface accelerate setup, calibration and measurement. An easy interface and guided procedures give you confidence in your results. Design and user interface similar to the DR 3900 (image below) The new TL 23 benchtop turbidimeter 6 DR 3900 spectrophotometer

TL 23 BENEFITS - A SMART DEVICE FOR MORE RELIABLE MEASUREMENTS The TL 23 Series ensures stable readings and accurate analysis by capturing turbidity readings once the device detects sample stability. This quality step removes subjectivity and the need for repeated measurements. 7

TL 23 BENEFITS - EASY TO USE. EASY TO BE RIGHT The TL 23 Series provides everything you need at your fingertips. With a USB port for easy data export, sample identification for traceability, and selfdiagnostics for quality assurance, Hach makes it easy to Be Right. Data log – 2, 000 data points 8

TRUSTED TECHNOLOGY - EXPLAINED • • • The TL 23 Series benchtop turbidimeter employ ratio technology Measurement with ‘ratio on’ means that the instruments utilizes data from all of the detectors by using a mathematical calculation to ratio signals from each detector Benefits: the ratio turbidimeter overcomes the two most common interferences in turbidity measurement – Color – natural colors occur from decaying vegetable matter and conventional turbidimeters cannot separate color from turbidity measurement – Large particles –light absorbing large particles have a negative effect on conventional turbidity measurement , but this effect is neutralized when using the ratio turbidity 10
