I strongly believe that nuclear power generation should not be prohibited. My primary reason

I strongly believe that nuclear power generation should not be prohibited. My primary reason is 30 % of electricity is supplied by nuclear power so if the nuclear power generation is prohibited, human beings cannot live a cultural life with the supplied electricity. Some other reason is that other ways of electric power generation such as wind power or thermal power are very unstable to be relied on. Wind power or hydroelectric power in Japan has been weather dependent and their sources have not been secured. Some people might believe that the nuclear power generation should be prohibited because it’s not safe. However, prohibiting the nuclear power generation would slow down the growth of the world economy because other ways are still not ready to substitute for nuclear power. For those reasons above, I state again that the nuclear power generation shouldn’t be prohibited. 2017/4/19 Academic Writing 2 24 24

I do not think that the nuclear power generation in Japan is reasonable. It should be prohibited. My primary reason for this is that the nuclear power generation is dangerous when something unexpected happens. If natural disasters such as earthquakes or tsunami happen, it cannot be controlled. In the US, for example, they have a bad memory of “Three Mile Islands disaster”, US Congress denied to build new power plants because they are not safe. Another reason is that the other power generation systems such as hydro electric power generation, thermal or wind power generation are becoming popular because they are clean, safe and environment friendly. That means by using them, the earth gets healthier and more ecological. For these reasons above, I state again that the nuclear power generation in Japan should be prohibited as soon as possible. 2017/4/19 Academic Writing 2 25 25

Professor Jones himself was most impressed by his own visit, and recommended that I write to you. Would it be possible for a group of 20 Business Studies students - male and female, aged between 18 and 22 - from Whitcomb Polytechnic to visit you before the end of this term, which is on the 21 December? I realize that you must receive many requests for such visits, and that the time available may already be booked up. If it is not, and you are able to see us, I should be most grateful if you could suggest a date and let me know of any normal conditions you lay down for visits of this kind. I look forward to hearing from you.
