COMPUTING GWAM (Gross Words A Minute) is the number of keystrokes you can make

COMPUTING GWAM (Gross Words A Minute) is the number of keystrokes you can make in one minute. • Five keystrokes (characters/spaces) = One word • A keystroke (character/space) is counted as a: • number, symbol, letter, punctuation, special character, or space. To compute GWAM take the total number of strokes and divide by 5. *If minutes are listed, then you will need to divide by your minutes as well.
