HOW TO FORM GUSTAR Step one: Say who likes something (A mí) me – I like (A nosotros/as) nos– We like (A tí) te - You like (A vosotros/as) os– You all like (A él/ella) le– He/She likes (A ellos/ellas) les– They like (A usted) le– You like (A ustedes) les– You all like
STEP TWO: SAY WHAT PEOPLE LIKE - Use either gusta or gustan to say what people like. - Use gusta if you are talking about a singular object or an activity. Ej: A ti te gusta la clase de español. (You like Spanish class. ) A él le gusta nadar. (He likes to swim. ) - Use gustan if you are talking about a plural object. Ej: A nosotros nos gustan los libros de ciencia ficción. (We like science fiction books. ) - The object(s) or activity always comes after gusta/gustan. - To say what people don’t like put a no in front of the me, te, le, nos, les. - Ej: A vosotros no os gusta cazar. (You all don’t like to hunt. )
