What is Guided Pathways? A Guided Pathways College offers students: ■ A structured educational experiences that guide students from entry to graduation ■ Clear, coherent program maps which include specific course sequences, progress milestones, and program learning outcomes ■ Programs aligned with workforce needs and jobs in their field Based on research and initiatives developed by Complete College America, Community College Resource Center, the Education Advisory Board, and the Foundation for California Community Colleges,
What is the difference between Guided Pathways and the PCC Pathways program? ■ Guided Pathways is an approach ■ PCC Pathways is a program ■ PCC Pathways has evolved from a FYE program to be a comprehensive, 3 -year program ■ PCC Pathways will use the guided pathways approach beginning Fall 2017

Success ■ Students in PCC Pathways earn 50% more units, persist at twice the rate, and complete at higher rates (PCC Pathways, 2015) ■ Guided Pathways encourages collaboration and increases engagement and overall success rates (Price & Tovar, 2014) ■ Structured schedules using meta-majors at CUNY have tripled the graduation rate (Complete College America, 2014)
