Grudgeball Kids attack!
Objective: reinforce the skills you will need to be successful on Thursday’s Anchor Task
How to play: - We will form teams of 3 students – then make a team name - you will each start with 10 (!!!) points, represented by the Xs on the board - Each team gets a question in turn. You have 30 seconds to write your answer on your whiteboard. (The recorder must always switch, i. e. the same person cannot be writing the entire game). While one team is taking their turn, the other teams want to be trying to form the correct response as well (see below) - If your answer is correct, you get to erase 2 Xs from anywhere on the board (not from yourself, and you can split it from more than one team) - If a team answers incorrectly, then it immediately passes to the next team in the rotation. If they have the correct answer ready, they can erase 3 Xs, if they get it wrong, then it immediately goes to the next team and they can erase 4 Xs, and so on. - If a team is knocked off, they can get back on by answering a question correctly on their next turn (for 4 Xs) - The winner is the team who has the most Xs when the time is up – we will review for exactly 25 minutes today
What do I win? Your prowess will earn you 5 points on Thursday’s Anchor Task!
